The Town of Bowden has a very healthy business sector. Bowden is situated in the heart of the Calgary-Edmonton corridor, alongside Highway 2. A short drive south of Red Deer, Bowden is ideally situated for residential, commercial, and industrial development.

2012 Business Licenses are now available at the Town Office. All businesses operating in the Town of Bowden, including home-based businesses, must have a business license.

Fees are as follows:

Non-Resident Business License - $100

In 2006, the Town of Bowden began working with Stevenson Homes developing affordably priced R1 residential lots at the south end of Bowden. This 63 acre development site, Destination Greens, will house over 200 affordable residential lots with many overlooking fairways from the Bowden Hi-Way Golf Course.
