Parkland Foundation Management Body is the Bowden office responsible for the operation and administration of 148 seniors housing units in central Alberta, including the following properties in Bowden:
20 self-containted suites in Westview Manor, 1706 - 23 Street
10 self-contained suites in Bow Glen Court, 1804 - 23 Street
These are rent-geared-to-income 500 square foot apartments built in the 1970s and originally managed by the Lions Club of Bowden. They are rented to healthy seniors who are able to care for themselves. The Provincial Government provides deficit funding to Parkland Foundation to enable people to stay in their own communities as long as they are safe. There are no meals or services provided, but maintenance of the buildings and grounds is taken care of by Parkland Foundation.
